Restaking via EigenLayer lets staked ETH or LSTs secure additional services — oracles, bridges, data availability — earning extra yield. Slashing risk stacks on top of base Ethereum staking.

Deposit stETH or native ETH into EigenLayer and opt into Actively Validated Services. AVSs pay restakers for security budget. Misbehavior on an AVS can slash restaked collateral beyond normal ETH staking penalties.

Liquid restaking tokens tokenize restaked positions with attractive yields and high complexity. Smart contract bugs and operator concentration add risks on top of the base staking and LST layers beneath.
