Future of Wallets

Wallet UX is moving from seed phrases toward invisible self-custody. Embedded wallets inside apps, passkey-based signing, and chain abstraction aim to hide complexity without returning keys to centralized custodians.

Chain abstraction goes further: one interface, many networks. Users should not need to know which L2 holds their USDC — the wallet routes, bridges, and pays gas behind the scenes.

The open question is whether users will understand what they control when the interface looks like Web2. Education and clear recovery flows matter as much as the underlying cryptography.
